We are Sabine, Tom from Germany and Lucy, our Border Collie from Portugal.
We have a plot of land on which we practise organic farming. It is located south of São Teotónio, about 30 minutes (25 kilometres) from the coast and is situated on a slope so that we can see the Atlantic Ocean from the highest point. We have a lot of sloping land overall, but also some platforms where we want to grow. We are at the very beginning of our project and are looking forward to set up the site.
We grow vegetable, flowers, citrus and other fruit trees, industrial hemp, bamboo and many other vegetable products. At the same time, we will build mud houses and create accommodation. Last winter we set up a large lake where we can swim and get cooled down in the summer
The plan is to build a non-profit meeting centre for people from all over the world, offering different concepts of holistic healing.
We look forward to people from all over the world coming together peacefully and working together on our idea of community.
We will
- grow crops,
- plant trees,
- plant flowers
- plant vegetable
- cut eucalyptus trees for fire wood
- lay water pipes,
- tap springs,
- build small lakes,
- build mud houses and
- build and operate electrical (photovoltaic) systems.
We mostly eat vegetarian food together. Sabine loves to cook and she cooks really well.
We will have tents to start with, so please bring YOUR SLEEPING BAG; but we want to build mud houses quickly so that also you, our guests can sleep in them. If you have a Campervan, the better! It can get particularly nippy here from October onwards until End of April.
We expect our woofers to work about 4-5 hours a day. Our woofers need to have a visa for Portugal since we can't help with these necessities.
