Hello, we are Thea & Christoph living on our cozy land in central Portugal. We have discovered this land while it was completely overgrown with loads of trash from the previous owners but it casted its spell on us with its mighty oaks and magical corners. We have already planted somewhat hundred fruit trees, created a small herb garden, and some nice spaces to hang out already. There is an outdoor kitchen with all that is necessary to cook decent meals and some nice tools for extra yummy food. We have a hot shower, a bath tub for really hot summer days and a compost toilet. Sadly, our land was hit by a large wildfire last summer (2025) which has left us kinda lucky but still has destroyed much of the land and nature. That is one of the main reasons we would like some extra help on the land: to repair, replant, and make our land a little more fire resilient. Tasks could be for example rebuilding old stone walls, building a little roof for our caravan, build a better irrigation system, plant a lot of plants and so on. There is also multiple other tasks to do, so if you like to work outdoors or even have some skills in wood- or stonework, we would be very happy to hear from you:) We do have a caravan for our Wwoofers, it fits one person or a couple. If you have a van or tent, that would also be an option of course. You will of course be served fresh and healthy meals (veggie or vegan) or maybe asked to cook your favourite meal ;) The area around is such a lovely place to go biking or on a hike. There is also lakes or sights like Monsanto real near for a day trip. Usually we also try to do yoga every day. Also, once a month we go to the artesanal market to meet neighbors and friends. If you like to join us for a while, please feel free to get in touch.

It was an interesting experience for me being a Wwoofer for the first time after having been a host to wwoofers for many years. I had a great time in Theas and Christophs place- the landscape is amazing, rock formations all about the place, big trees and wide views. Christoph And Thea have a quiet love for the land which makes me think that the work I did there will not be lost but will be build upon. We did a great job together cleaning the land, discovering trees and protecting the property against fire. I will be back! Michael
