N2 OverlanderLodge is a sustainable nature tourism and accommodation

We are a small team developing the N2 OverlanderLodge, a sustainable nature tourism project located in the quiet village of Andreus, Sardoal, in central Portugal. Our goal is to create a space that connects travelers, nature, and local culture, providing an authentic experience for overlanders, walkers, and nature lovers exploring the National Road N2.
The project combines eco-friendly accommodation, community living, and traditional outdoor cooking, promoting a slower and more conscious way of traveling.
We live on-site (currently 4 people) and share the space with a few friendly animals, including chickens and goats, who are an important part of the daily rhythm of the farm. Life here follows the pace of nature, simple and welcoming, where everyone contributes and learns together.
Maintenance and beautification of outdoor areas;
Caring for animals (goats, chickens and pigs);
Support in small farming and livestock activities.
WWOOFers will be accommodated in fully equipped rooftop tents, depending on availability and season. All volunteers will have access to bathrooms with hot showers, a shared kitchen, and common areas for relaxation and social interaction.
Meals are included and usually prepared together in the community kitchen or in the outdoor cooking area, where we use traditional fire and cast iron techniques. Whenever possible, we use fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients.
We encourage a collaborative and family-style atmosphere where everyone participates in meal preparation and enjoys food together.
The N2 OverlanderLodge is surrounded by beautiful nature and outdoor activities. There are several hiking trails starting directly from the village, leading through forests, hills, and traditional countryside landscapes.
Nearby, WWOOFers can also enjoy cycling along the N2, or exploring the historic town of Sardoal with its charming streets and cultural heritage.
The region offers a peaceful atmosphere perfect for nature walks, birdwatching, or simply relaxing under the trees after a day of work.
