My name is Sophie, I live with my 14 year old child on this beautiful farm since 8 years. It was abandoned, very dry and more a lost place with a ruin when I came.
We're 12 km airline from this wonderful, wild coastline od Southwest Portugal and close to villages and towns which feed us sometimes a pizza and building necessities.
The very essence of my project is - to help this land to become WILD again. To bring back water, more mycelium, trees and non domesticated animals.
Of course I gotta earn my money, which also I do via this magical land. my heart is with is rewildening and enjoying this peaceful island , a home on this earth and sharing it with others as I did since the very beginning of this story.
A good friend who I know since many years Also lives on the land. As well as 3 horses, 1 dog, 3 cats too much ( we have 4) , birds, toads and many people who stay and leave as guests & friends.
I am dedicated to more and more turn this land into a wild haven where also people find a peaceful haven to breathe, rest, be and explore inner and outer realms.
With a lot of love
Many of the activities Include, landscaping, planting, soil regeneration ( moving & creating compost, collecting horse poo) , mulching, growing veggies.
Also we try to be as smart and local as possible in eco and natural building which is where need help with.
And then we have a normal daily life where my child visits an alternative school project, we still buy things from shops, play music or are just tired from all the inner and outer work and need to rest and have some lazy day.
Sometimes we go to ocean, we meet friends, move or fly out to experience something else.
The people who come to help us either stay in our wonderful observatory, a magical round house with a glass roof and double bed.
Or in a tiny and very cosy caravan with double mattress.
Or in a 4 meter bell tent.
Depends availability and season.
Wherever it is, I will make sure you're warm and cosy and have space for yourself as well as communal live. We eat always and since more than 30 years vegetarian, sometimes vegan... always tasty.
so theres no way I'm gonna provide meat or fish whereas I'm tolerant enough to make space in the fridge if it s something you bring yourself cause your body really wants it.
I'm not very dogmatic about these things but very clear for myself and I would love support with cooking. I love to eat but only sometimes to prepare food. I appreciate if we can share that task.
Hobbies....
I love music, I play violin and a bit of guitar, I love to sing and play with sound. I love and feel in awe of the mystics of nature, it's living beeings and this cosmos. I'm a diver, a very dedicated and special love In me is for the ocean and all that's alive in her. I love very much to travel, To be in silence, to work a lot and to be in change and consistency. It's paradox , I know. And it's true.
I have a never ending interest to explore the human nature and the natures of realities and I am also very down to earth In many ways.
I am busy with my own inner work and living a live that's so worth living for me through myself in this world with mindfulness to all that crosses my path. I love trees so I'm planting. I studies social pedagogy and became a breath work facilitator. Now I'm training in holotropic breathwork, this is a hobby and deep interest too. And I like to be serious and also very easy.
