Quinta Agro-florestal Em Pinhal Novo

I will never forget my two weeks stay at Quinta do Eucalipto. I enjoyed a lot taking care of the animals. We were working in the morning from 8am to 1pm. Then, we had lunch with all the people in the farm and I enjoyed so much listening to Portuguese language. I was free in the afternoon so I had time to read, draw, study Portuguese, swim in the pool... After a few days, I was already feeling at home. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. I recommend this place to all kind-hearted souls who want to get involved in a meaningful project while still having time for themselves!

We spend two weeks at Quinta do Eucalipto, a little farm with a school for little children. Filipa and Luis are very kind, and they have a lot of good advices to visit Portugal and enjoy your Portugal trip ! The working hours are from around 8:00 to 13:00, and after we had a vegetarian lunch which was always good. The working activities were diversified (weeding, planting trees, cleaning sheeps and horses' houses, digging holes for trees, cut branches to make borders...). After lunch and on weekend we were totally free which allows to explore a lot ! We want to thank them for this experience :)

My stay with Filipa and Luis was my first wwoofing experience and couldn't have been better. I felt very welcome and enjoyed every second of the 10 days I was there. I worked together with another volunteer for 5 hours a day and we always had a delicious meal afterwards. The afternoons and weekends were great for trips. Whether animals or people, there was always something going on at the quinta, but I was still able to get some time for myself. It was a wonderful time and I especially loved the dogs and all the other animals as well as the interesting talks and the jump into the pool to cool off.
Obrigada :)

I certainly enjoyed my stay at Quinta do Eucalipto. Soon after my arrival on the farm, I felt at home. As a part of the family. It was also quite an authentic experience while Portuguese is the first spoken language there. It might have taken a bit of time to get used to a lot of kids around since it is not only a farm but also a kindergarten. But the kids are nice and well behaved so there is no problem. I liked the diversity on the farm. Different animals, plants, and natural rural location but with quite good connection to shops and transportation. I was also very happy to finally be able to learn syntropic farming in practice! Delicious lunch is usually cooked by a nice lady cook. The farmers Filipa, Luis and Inu are kindhearted people whom I enjoyed talking to and spending time with. Thank you for everything and hopefully see you soon again!
