We believe in Organic Agriculture and our growth is due to a constant and goal oriented effort to better serve our clients (by going to the length of customizing their individual requests), as far as quality, variety and price are concerned.
We want to grow along with the ones who dream about the future of the kind of food that preserves and improves our health, and also contributes to the balance and sustainability of planet Earth, something in much need these days.
Quintinha was established in December 2000 with a purpose much wider than just mere profit. We believe in Organic Agriculture, and our growth is based on dealing with high quality products and service, without ever forgetting a good relation between quality and price.
The products that we sell in our store in Vila Nova de Gaia and that we also home deliver to our clients in Porto, Gaia and surrounding areas are:

In December of 2020, 20 years after we started this business, we began our own production of fresh organic Fruits and Vegetables, on a Farm located in the Arouca area, just under 40 Kms away from our open store in Gaia. On this Farm we are developing the following activities:
Production of Blueberries;
Production of a wide and diversified range of Vegetables;
Beginning the building of our Fruit Tree yard;
Cleaning and reforestation of are large forest area, where we already have a wide range of native autochthonus trees;
Cleaning and restoration of the 3 water mines we have at the Farm;
Cleaning and improving our existing flower, trees and grass yards;
Do maintenance and cleaningof the biological swimming pool and lakes
Helping the construction of strategical located bungalows for the purpose of Rural Tourism.

Our stay at Quinta do Cavaco was truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, Graça welcomed us with warmth and genuine care. She is a wonderful host—kind, attentive, and thoughtful—always making sure we were comfortable and well fed. Her hospitality felt personal and heartfelt, creating an immediate sense of home.
The land itself is absolutely magical. With waterfalls, ponds, caves, and natural springs, Quinta do Cavaco feels alive and deeply grounding. There’s a quiet, mystical energy that invites you to slow down and reconnect. At night, the sky is breathtaking, filled with stars so bright it feels like you could reach out and touch them.
The accommodations are comfortable yet rustic, with an authentic Portuguese aesthetic that reflects the history of the land. The bed was very comfortable, and having access to a washing machine made longer stays easy. Even when Graça was away, she ensured there were adequate food options available.
We loved being involved in daily life—caring for the animals, fixing fences, chopping wood, and helping with small household repairs. Quinta do Cavaco is more than a place to stay; it’s an experience. We left feeling nourished, rested, and grateful, and would happily recommend it to anyone seeking peace and connection in the Portuguese countryside.

My stay at the wonderful Quintinha Farm left unforgettable memories, and even after almost half a year, I am delighted to write this review. I want to sincerely thank Dona Graça and her family for their warm hospitality and especially for introducing me, a foreigner, to the traditions and culture of Portugal.
Quintinha is a unique place surrounded by nature. On the farm and in its vicinity, I met amazing and interesting people whose acquaintance was a true gift during my volunteering experience.
As for the work: during my stay, Lily the sheep gave birth to a lamb, the most adorable creature I have ever seen. There were plenty of other exciting events too: we ran all over the farm catching chickens that had escaped from the hunting dog, and less successfully tried to find a white duck that had disappeared into the woods at dusk.
This was truly a glorious time of joy and discovery!

I had the opportunity to volunteer at Graça's farm the Quintinha do Covaco for about six weeks, and it was a lovely experience. From day one, Graça welcomed me with warmth and kindness, making me feel like a part of her family. Graça is an inspiring woman, full of ideas and creativity, with a wonderful spirit.
Her property is vast and beautifully divided into several sections. There’s a large forest area, a section where she keeps animals, and a vegetable garden that supplies her organic vegetable shop. In addition, she runs a guesthouse on the farm, where she warmly welcomes tourists. The entire place is stunning, with breathtaking landscapes, perfect for peaceful walks through the forest.
My tasks included feeding the sheep and chickens, watering plants, weeding, helping with the harvest, and cleaning the swimming pool filters. Graça is very flexible with the work schedule and allows you to manage your time as long as the tasks are completed.
The farm is located about forty minutes by car from Porto, in a peaceful rural area that offers a true sense of tranquility. During my last two days, I had the pleasure of staying at Graça's home in Gaia, near Porto.
I am very grateful to Graça for hosting me on her farm and wish her all the best in the future growth of the farm. I look forward to visiting her again in the future.
