WWOOFing Help Needed – After Storm Kristin On January 28th, we were severely affected by Storm Kristin. The damage is significant, and we now need helping hands to clear the land, remove fallen trees, and rebuild shelters. If you enjoy outdoor work, are not afraid of mud, and are motivated and supportive, you are very welcome to join us. Experience with a chainsaw is a big plus, but above all, what matters most is the willingness to help. In difficult times like these, solidarity and mutual aid remind us how powerful and beautiful humanity can be. Thank you in advance to everyone who feels called to help ❤️

I had a really great time here! The hosts are so friendly, helpfull and I felt greatfull to be a help on their land and at their beautiful place! There was a good balance between working and relaxing. I will defintely come back if, and when, I have the chance to do this! Thank you you both, we had fun! 😊

Heart warming and soul healing. Angelique and Joaquim have been so kind during the week that I stayed with them. it was my first time WWOOFing and I couldn't have found a better place! Angelique gave me so much confidence in things that I've never done in my life. Although she gave me a lot of new knowledge, it was her ' have fun'. and ' there are no mistakes' approach that really helped me to grow. Joaquim probably said the nicest words to me when I was ready to leave: "Don't change who you are." He taught me self love, but he also made me enjoy his Portuguese soul food with local products. Then there are Neto, Cashew and Gaia who showed their unconditional love each morning. On my arrival day I arrived kind of late at 20:30 and a bit hungry, but to my surprise I found a cabinet and a refrigerator with enough food for a whole week. Unexpected, but really kind. At last I want other potential WWOOFers to know that having a car is a really nice option in this place. Although there is plenty to see, to wander and to do around the property, you don't want to miss the beautiful towns of Tomar, Leiria and the caves of Mira de Aire. I can't thank you enough for your kindness. I will see you again. A warm hug, Lorenzo

As my first wwoofing experience all I can say is that I was extremely lucky to start with Angélique and Joaquim! They are a very nice couple, helpful, welcoming, very generous and friendly: I felt like home. The place all around is well curated and incredibly green, far away from the caos but near enough to many interesting walking, cities, castles and monastery. The work is interesting and everyday is different because of the weather and of what is neeeded for the day. I learned about seeding different kind of flowers and vegetables, weeding and taking care of the donkeys. Netto and Cashu (the donkeys) are very nice and they know how to take joke on us! Working outside everyday was peaceful, very satisfying and the work hours were fair because you always had free time in the afternoon. The accomodation was very comfortable and a plus is the presence of two lovely dogs! I can highly recommend this experience and I must say a big thank to my hosts, it was a pleasure to meet you!! I spent one week at Vale do Cabo and i am so glad for the experience! Angélique and Joaquim are lovely and generous people. Their work hard for building their little paradise and know how to their enjoy the results. I felt lucky to share this and tending to the garden and looking after the donkeys was fun -it hardly felt like work at all. Accomodation was great and i had time to explore the surroundings in the afternoon.

We had the time of our lives at Casa Vale do Cabo with Joaquim and Angélique! We spent our days weeding, pruning trees, working in the greenhouse, drinking coffee, walking the donkeys, eating lunch together, and exploring the area. Joaquim and Angélique are incredibly kind, generous, hardworking, considerate, and lovely people. We can't speak highly enough about them or our experience there. Thank you for the most beautiful WWOOFing experience and we hope to come back someday soon :)
