Olá I’m Alora… Welcome to Templo Da Vida (Temple of Life) I’m a Sacred Artist, Bearthkeeper and Mama to Anastasia, poetically passionate and devoted to restoring natural wisdom, wellness, lore and birth. Originally from England yet well traveled I moved to Portugal March 2020 where amidst the plandemic we were blessed with this beautiful land and a vision/mission to create a Sanctuary, School and Spa to nourish our community while offering wellness retreats to assist and support the wholistic wellbeing and sovereignty of women, men and families who desire to create a non invasive, healthy and harmonious way of being and environment to conceive, birth and raise future generations naturally, be it at home or a place they feel supportive and sovereign.
THE LAND
~ A sacred space to be, restore and rebirth oneself.
We have 1.5 hectares of magical land in Orca, the heart of Portugal. With big beautiful boulders, a symphony of birds, neighbouring horses and a stunning view of the sun setting on a mount of olives, it’s a little piece of heaven just 5 min drive or 20 min walk from town where there’s cafe’s, a little mercado, restaurant, hotel, gas station, ATM, post office, swimming pool and a sacred spring known as “the Miracle spring” for people used to pilgrimage to experience instantaneous “Miraculous” healing.
We’re also surrounded by evolutionary humanitarian communities and beautiful lakes.
THE ESSENTIALS

We’re blessed and grateful to enjoy, water and power sovereignty…
💧We pump our own water from the well and harvest rainwater to drip feed our green walls.
We have a cold outdoor shower and gas heated indoor shower and bath.
☀️We have a newly installed solar system to power our tools for life, a washing machine, fridge, power tools, laptop's etc.
We have a double compost loo, a worm farm and utilise our food waste for compost.
THE EVOLUTION
~ Nourish the need and all will thrive

We’re in the early foundational phases of building, utilising local and sustainable materials to practice natural building, permaculture, vermiculture and electro culture principles.
THE INVITATION

We need help with preparing the soil and landscape for the Walipini (underground greenhouse), food forest, herb garden, the natural water pool, community cafe, the bearthhouse and wild spa

Experience, skills or knowledge in any of these areas most welcome as we grow and learn from each other.
THE MAGIC
A magical day at Templo Da Vida begins with a sunrise song (walk or dance) and herbal tea followed by a fresh juice or smoothie as we check in and decide what the needs and priorities are for the day/week, weather permitting of course and after a few hours tending those we share and enjoy a nourishing plant based lunch and get to know each other before continuing for the afternoon… The evenings are free and flexible to enjoy food, music around a fire or rest in solitude… There’s a magical river close by full of turtles for a dip in spring and nice quiet edible walks to relax.
THE NEST

We currently have space to welcome up to 4 woofers at a time, volunteers with vans (campers) or with your own tent or yurt. (Ours got damaged last year) Next spring we will be able to offer cosy bell tents and a yurt yet currently focusing our investment on other projects.
Minimum 1 month (moon cycle) stay, video call and references required.
We’re a substance and alcohol free environment with a focus on conscious consumption, creation and sacred living
