Hello Wwoofers, my name is Dom and together with my partner I live on my homestead in Central Portugal.
We are living on our homestead at the very edge of a small hamlet, in the middle of an Olive Grove.
We left the busy life and jobs behind and came here to cultivate our own food. Coming as close as possible to Self-Sustainability is the goal.
Come and experience another lifestyle.

Every day in every season brings different tasks. My work includes preparing seedlings, making beds, weeding etc. Composting. Harvesting Olives and pressing for oil. Pruning fruit trees. Planting trees.

I had a wonderful stay with Dom and Mona. The garden is beautiful and peaceful. There is a beautiful lake nearby. Public transport is simple to get around town and explore on off hours. Dom and Mona are very sweet and make fantastic food!!! They showed me a couple spots nearby. It was my first time using WWOOF. I was a bit nervous at first but had an amazing experience I definitely recommend!!
