English version: Quinta do Pinheiral, Regeneration and Healing of the Being began to be led by Liliana Pinto, since 2006, it is located in Castelo de Paiva in the parish of Fornos, right next to the banks of the Paiva River. We follow the principles/fundamentals of agroecology & permaculture, local knowledge and ancestral wisdom, with the aim of increasing the farm's biodiversity and producing quality and tasty food. Here, food sovereignty is "seen" from the point of view of agroecology, family and organic farming, as a path to healing our planet. This place is the headquarters of the micro-company Agrinemus - Produtos Orgânicos and so you will be able to observe the symbiosis that exists in the place between agricultural production and processing! During the fruit harvest, the transformation of all "so-called waste" fruit is thus valued every week through transformation. We work every working day of the week, the usual hours being from 8am to 5pm. Liliana Pinto has a degree in Food Engineering, is currently the manager of Agrinemus and has been in charge of this Agro food project since 2006. She has an effective team of 2 people working. It envisions the Regeneration and Healing of Beings through the way we harmonize work, respecting each person’s space. This agro-forestry space has a total of 4 hectares, 2 hectares of cultivation (vegetable garden, orchard and annual crops) and 2 hectares of native forest.

I’ve spent 6 weeks from the last week of July untill the beginning of September at Quinta do Pinheiral, and it was a great experience. Liliana, her son Raul and the ‘colleges’ Paula and Fatime are really kind people and they treated me as part of the family. When I arrived we made some pear juice and after that my tasks were to do the irrigation, some weed management, to harvest fruites and vegetables, cut down unwanted trees in the orchards, and prepare vegetable beds to be able to plant in it. Sometimes it was hard because of the hot weather, so we tried to start early. What I really liked, that I had enough time to explore the sorroundings especially the riverside on the buttom of the property, which was like diving into nature. In our free time we also played some card games and chess, which was also fun. The food was simple with lots of vegetables but really healthy and tasty.

Liliana is a great person, somebody to have interesting conversations with, a good listener, and a good sharer of knowledge. About the farm, is a peaceful and large place, with fantastic views and a lot of things to do. I've learned a lot in the short time I've spent here, and I really want to thank you for this kind and interesting staying. Thanks a lot!

I had a wonderful month (march) at Quinta do Pinheiral. During my stay I helped with clearing the orchard (collecting and piling up pruned materials, removing wild trees…), pruning, checking and fixing leaks in the irrigation system, see and help behind the scenes of the lupin production process and learnt about biodynamical treatments (whether it be for soil or a paticular tree). I’m grateful for the lessons learned at this (magical) place and from Liliana, Fatima and Paula specifically. The song of the singing church bells will be forever in my heart. Muito obrigado, Toon
