Transformational Organic Olive Farm

Hello WWOOFERs, myself and my partner Haim live in Colos, Portugal and are developing a beautiful Olive Farm with over 300 trees already and a development of an Olive oil pressing facility we are hoping to upgrade the Olive Oil industry to bespoke olive oils as each tree is unique. Olive oil is becoming increasing popular due to its numerous health benefits and we are looking for people with experience to help us facilitate this project. We have a pet dog called xsy who came from a local dog home, chickens and baby sheep.
Typical farming activities include cleaning the land, making hay, picking olives and pickling olives, cleaning the olives and pressing the olives. At the moment we have a need for olive pickers so a typical day would be starting early around 7.30am gathering the equipment, setting the olive tree up for picking, using machines to get the olives to drop, collecting the olives, cleaning them in a olive blowing machine and help with pickling olives. Animal husbandry might be required too like feeding the sheep and chickens. Two 5 hour shifts during the day, 7.30-12.30 1.30-5.30pm. - these may vary depending on what needs picking when.
We have a room for a couple and we also have space for people to stay on the land. Meals will be communal and served outdoors.
Hobbies - normally photography and yoga, but focused on the farm right now. Lots of hiking nearby and local markets.
