WHO WE ARE
I’m Clara Lala — ARTivist, land lover, and co-creator of an evolving hybrid on- & off-grid permaculture garden and living space on São Miguel, Azores.
This is not a retreat or hosted experience.
This is a living land project — real work, real weather, real co-creation 🌱
We live on the lush north side of the island — wild, green, and sometimes very wet 🌧️ close by to the village Farropo.

WHAT THIS IS
A hands-on permaculture system in constant evolution. Nothing is static here — we respond to land, weather, materials, and people.
Daily life includes:
– Gardening & permaculture (soil building, planting, harvesting)
– Construction & maintenance of simple structures
– Cooking, preserving, shared meals
– Care for natural cycles (water systems, compost, worm toilets 🪱)
– Occasional fires, music, and spontaneous gatherings
Work is physical, outdoors, and weather-led. Rhythm is more important than schedule.

LIVING CONDITIONS
Simple, romantic-rustic, and actively evolving:
– Basic sleeping setups 🪵
– Outdoor kitchens (still being built and improved)
– Cold outdoor shower 🚿
– Compost & worm-toilet system 🪱
– Minimal infrastructure — we are actively building this place
This is not about comfort optimization.
It’s about participation in a living system.

Prior experience in gardening, building, or community living is helpful — but attitude matters more than CV.
